I ran across www.baggerstds.com. Looks similar to Brukus, but the price is better

Thanks for letting us know about this company. SaddlebagSecureŽ is actually a PATENTED product and this company certainly did not contact us about selling our product.

Great story, but I hope he wasn't a customer of the SaddlebagSecure!

He was AFTER he got his bags back. Didn't realize before the theft how easily the bags were stolen!

Not in every state. I pack where I can but there are plenty that you can't...legally.

There are still quite a few states where this is still perfectly legal. But the LEOs will make your life a living hell if you choose to advertise you are packing in this way. I prefer not to let anyone know until I need to.

I just went to True-Value on Sunday, bought 4 U-clips (5/16") for $0.70 each.

I've already got the right length allen bolts in the garage.... once I'm done with the saddlebag extensions project,
they'll be bolted back on using the 'new' secure system.

Also, I love the idea of an empty holster mounted on the bike!!! Awsome (clever) idea!

I am having hard saddlebags custom painted for a pretty penny. I stopped by the shop to see them and while there pulled out my new Brukus sagglebags locks and told them to put them on when they were done. Enough said! Okay...i do like Dickey's idea too!

If ya just want to buy bolts from the hardware store for this, buy carriage bolts and run them from the outside of the bag to the inside. That will provide the smooth head of the bolt on outside of the bag and the nylon insert nuts on the inside of the bag.

Definitely many options here and I also agree about supporting HD Forum Vendors.

Sometimes people are in a crunch for money and every cent counts. Got this a pic a few years back on here. Thought I would post it up. You can substitute the standard bolt to a Torx TR or whatever you prefer.
