I have factory passenger floor boards and rear saddle bags gaurds. My wife says the bag gaurds hurt the back of her legs because the floor boards set to far back.I have been told there is a kit avaialble to move the floor boards foward a couple of inches.Does anyone know if this is true and have you you used them.Thank you
Yes. I just read about it in a mag while at the barber shop today. HD makes a saddle bag re-location kit for the Heritage. It can be used to move the bags back a couple of inches and if you change the floorboards, then you have to use it. Didn't give a price. I think the mag was called, Bike Works. It was the Aug or Oct Or Nov issue of '06. Read all three while I was there.

I haven't heard anything (until now) about a saddlebag relocation kit. That may be a good solution...
The fact that Paula's calves not only hit the crash bars but, they also hit the front edge of the hard saddle bags kept me from getting a new Street Glide last winter. Unlike the Touring models (kit raises the foot boards up 2 1/2"), H-D doesn't sell a kit to relocate the passenger foot boards on the Heritage. If only i had known about this kit last winter...[&:]
Even on the Heritage, she (5'2" with more evenly proportioned torso/leg length than typical female) could only get her toes on the pegs. I went through a couple of different set-ups until I finally settled on this foot peg relocation kit. it works great...though I did have to drill the stock foot peg mounting hole in the frame out to 1/2".
BTW, the saddlebag relocation kit just changes how bottom strut mounts when you use the HD passanger boards, the bags themselves stay in the same location.

Those are nice...and EXPENSIVE! It appears they are only for Touring bikes based on the pics.

Adjustable Passenger Boards for Harley-Davidsons
SKU: HD005A
Passenger floorboards adjustable through 6 range of motion--NO TOOLS REQUIRED. Fits 1980 & Newer FLT's, FLHT's, FLTR's and 1986 & Newer Heritage Softails.
Interesting...since the Touring bikes use two bolts to mount the foot boards and Softails use only one. The problem I had on the Softail was the use of the single bolt. On the left side of the bike,IF you have the peg/board FORWARD and UP from the mounting bolt, it takes very little pressure to loosen the bolt.
