After loosing my NEW LED headlight to a rock before I even got to ride at night, I'm looking for a 5 3/4" stone guard to try out...can't seem to find anything in North America; some in ENgland from old car parts places...anyone seen anything over here? Kinda like the enduro light's back in the day, except they were smaller.....
Look into that 3M clear bra chip protect. They put it on my car's headlights and it's invisible. I wouldn't imagine a bike's headlight is any different?
Great folks with good customer service. I ordered them for my headlight and passing lamps. I was on the road when I ordered them and it was 3 months before I got home to open the box. They had only sent the headlight one but not the passing lamps. I figured they would tell me to go "**** up a rope" but called them anyway.
They had the passing lamp ones on my doorstep within 3 days, no questions asked.
Just replace the headlight. I mean realistically--what are the odds of THAT happening again in a lifetime?
Mine took several hits on the Alcan. I took off the guard on the way home to clean it and left it off while I went about 1/4 mile to get gas. Caught a rock and broke the glass but the light still worked. I put the guard back on and rode the rest of the way back into the states before I bought a new one.
For my bike you can't just replace the glass, have to buy the whole unit, glass and reflector. Cost me $110.00! Rock guard is cheap insurance.

Nice find IA! And thanks to the OP. I just got the LED light and having to shell out $420 for another one would be painful.
maybe look at some jeep or other off road type websites for light protection.
i wouldn't recommend installing 3m protector on headlights.
Shouldn't be a problem with LEDs, if heat is what you are thinking. I don't think it will defuse the light too much either. Halogen bulbs on the other hand, I would steer clear of.
