Well I think a little revollt is in order here, Harley Davidson Financial Services Just changed it's rules. I owe about a grand on my 09 FXD and have always made my payments via my Bank account at no charge. Now you are required to pay through the HDFS website, unless I sign up for Direct Scheduled Payments (no service fee) through the HDFS site, there will be a 6 dollar charge made when I pay through them. A I am on a fixed Income and prefer a bit of flexibility on my payment schedule. So it looks like I'll just go back to writing a paper check at my convenience. Which is more Labor and time for the Bank... I just don't get it. Has Greed just taken over. Your thoughts??
Oh really, saving 6 bucks I don't have to spend is being greedy? That pays for a Synthetic Oil Change.
If you can't afford to make the payments you can't afford the bike....just because YOU are on a fixed income doesn't mean the world is going to kiss your butt and do things for free.
ummm if you sign up threw there web site they just debit your bank acount no fee ..
so whats the difrence .
if you set up threw bank or website its still free .threw the website , i am confused whats wrong .
i set mine up threw there website to debit my bank acount . its free .
Yes if you schedule a specific date through hdfs it is free, I'd mentioned that..you can no longer use your bank account to "pay to" HDFS, you must arrange hdfs to requisition from your bank account, I guess you missed the point where I'd mentioned I prefer a bit of flexibility due to my circumstances rather than a stringently fixed payment date. In any case, an Electronic Transfer is an Electronic Transfer.....why a 6 dollar charge on one and not the other. But then folks will be good little trained citizens and go along for the ride.... I'll prefer paying on my terms.
