I have been repeating....Ride what you have, ride what you have. Don't even think about it!

Great bike for the vertically challenged! Can't wait to hear a review of this bike from an owner.
Just go for it!! Don't let somebody else be the owner of your scoot!! I LOVE spending other peoples money...LOL do it to my buds all the time. You only live once, buy what you want now, not later. That's why they all bought Harley-Davidson for their first street bikes and not shadows...metric
Giddy up!!

I've seen plenty I like Dickey. That forty-eight sporty is pretty sexy. Probably the first sportster I was generally attracted too, and will probably pick one up when I find an affordable one that I cant pass up.

Of course, that would apply to the Slim too. If I sat it, and enjoyed it... and had the money (isn't that always the case?) I'd pick it up.

Life is too short not to drive what you love.

I read this thread this morning. I then went to the dealer and traded-in my 2012 Iron that I owned for 4 months for the 48 that I really wanted.

Yesterday I stopped by the dealer to talk to a couple of friends that work there. While I was there I decided to take a look see after reading this thread. Well it sure is nice looking and it does sit low, I thought long and hard before sitting on it because of the conversation going on in this thread.

With that said, I sat on it anyway, it felt nice enough, although I was not impressed with the balance of this bike. Not sure why, it just seemed a little off balance (maybe because it was not set up yet, and only a showroom model).

Just my $0.02

It could be your wallet . . . try moving it to the other side and see if the balance problem goes the other way? If the wallet side is consistently the heavy side, you can probably afford the bike!

Good luck with your decision. Whichever way you go, it will be right.
I guess I need to better explain my "BIG MISTAKE." I will NEVER repeat NEVER give up my Sportster. I would be adding to the herd and deducting from my wallet. Sportsters are the best IMHO.
