You CAN be that thick, obviously. Look at the post above, NOT MINE, that says yes, solid red means the tender IS working. You are failing to distinguish between the tender and the battery. The bike was working when I put in on the tender three months ago and the tender was working too; It was red. I walked away. For all the Harley and Deltran know, I was gone for three months. That's what the set up is for. Now why don't you run along and jerk off some place else.
No you should have bought the Deltran Battery Tender-Tender. It plugs in right next to your battery tender and has an electric eye that sets off an alarm if the light on your battery tender stays red. However, the alarm unit is sold separately and is labeled Deltran Battery Tender-Tender-Alarm Module.
Now to plug all of this in you will need the Deltran Battery Tender-Tender-Alarm Module Adapter Plug. The adapter plug is on back-order until September so you should probably keep an eye on the light and chill out until then.
Thanks, man. If you get a chance, you should post some pics of that Colt. I still have a soft spot for them. If it's been in the family and handed down, then it's priceless.
My daughter's fiance's dead grandfather's, and he was close with his grandfather.
I need to post pictures of a few things, I am waiting on upgrading this computer though.
Wow, you can't be that thick. It never went to green. Battery is dead or there is a problem. Simple, one look in a day or two to verify it took a charge. You are clueless & don't deserve help. Enough with the F bombs, your not impressing anyone. See ya!
I agree, when I first hook mine up its red for maybe 15 seconds then goes green. Batteries and such don't last forever. If the charger is at fault send it back, Tell them you'll tell everyone on HDforums how you got screwed if they don't make amends.

I took the battery out this morning and tested it at 11.83 (?) volts and put it on a NAPA Model 85-302 charger. It's been on it all day long, about ten hours and it still says it's charging. I took it off and got 13.46, however, I read somewhere to wait an hour before testing voltage, so I'm going to do that, then check the voltage, and then put it back on the charger all night. It's supposed to recognize any problems and respond accordingly. Since it's been charging, I figure it must have hope for the battery or it would have kicked into another mode. But it's taking a hell of a long time. We'll see tomorrow I guess. *IF* the battery gets charged, then I'll put the tender on it and see if I get a green light within an hour.

I've never seen so much BS over simple battery charger with idiot lights on it!
Man, if your have this much of a problem troubleshooting a simply battery issue, maybe
a Harley is not for you. Try to get to know your bike a little better, use the manual, and check some of things they do on a service, do your own oil changes, you will get to know the bike better doing these simple things.
At least it sounds like you have a plan now, and are doing something about it instead of falling for all the bashing, and teasing going on, didn't take much to get you going, get some thicker skin if you plan on staying around here for the fun.
Now, after you charge it up, take it to your local parts store and have it load tested, then you will have your answer.
