The broken wings patch?
Doesn't help any thing, only makes **** worse, every damn time. Everybody's got problems man. That's what life is. Walk if off or walk away. Hope you can find the road sooner than later.
The Broken Wings patch is for those who've totaled a Harley and Lived to Ride another day, period.
Like the bell, it's not meant to be bought but to be gifted. It's not about road rash or broken bones. It's not about wreckin' ricers and dirt bikes.
It's not for downed or fallen riders either. Those are separate things to be honored in other, more specific ways like "In Memory of..." and "G.B.N.F." patches, murals, tatts, etc.
Where many club riders wear a bottom rocker, I wear the large set of broken wings I was given by a brother, who's old lady sewed them on for me.
I also wear a broken wings tattoo across my left bicep, given to me by a studio owner bro I rode with decades ago. I earned them both, separately.
I don't share these things to brag. There's nothing to brag about. Totaling your bike and breaking your body sucks.
I'm sharing the old customs for those who care enough about the lifestyle to listen, care and hopefully pass on to future generations... properly.
If you wear the wings and haven't earned them... I couldn't give a rats *** but be warned, superstition is a thing for a reason and you are tempting fate.
Ride safe folks but most importantly, ride FREE.

I don't know the line on how bad it has to be, and don't care. Not like it is badge, military or club patch
You want it, and want to tell your story, fine
