Pinlock helmet shield - question about tinted visor inserts
So the standard Pinlock system usually comes with a clear visor insert. Fog-free, but doesn't help riding into the sun.
There are other tinted pinlock inserts you can buy, including light smoke and dark smoke. Pinlock warns that light smoke should be used only in daytime riding (duh), but that dark smoke is only for "track use."
Is it really THAT dark, that it wouldn't be used in daily driving? Or are Pinlock's lawyers just covering their rear ends? I would get the darkest visor insert that I could use, but don't want to invest in two different "smokes" if I could really just use the dark smoke one on all sunny rides.
Thanks!
