if you need a new key, instead of buying just the one key from the dealer, order the lockset for the tourpak. it runs less than $20 and comes with 2 keys. you use the code that is on your existing key and when it comes it, you'll have 2 extra keys

I got a spare on Ebay for about $20 or less, but I discovered when I prgrammed it, it cancelled my other fob, so only 1 works at a time if they aren't a pair, I guess.
There are prgramming instructions in the service manual, but you can probably also find them on the internet. You program them from your bike - you just have to have the sequence of ignition switching and button pushing.

He speaks the truth for the old version of the fob. The new version requires matching at the dealer. You need to determine which version you have and proceed accordingly.
If you have the proximity one where there is no buttons to push you have to go to the dealer. Have all your fobs with you for they can program them all at once. Dealer did mine at no charge cause I bought the new fob off of them

That's a great idea! Thanks

Thats the one I have. dealer sells em for 40 bucks. I'm gonna ask about free programming if I buy it from them. I am pretty sure I know that answer.
