Default Programming new proximity key fob

I bought my bike used and it only came with one key fob. A friend of mine just gave me one, but how do I make it work with my bike?

Didn't get a manual when you bought it?

Potato Potato is right. The dealer has to progam it and make sure you have all the fobs with you when programing

Ditto... plus while they're programming your FOBs, have them set the manual code to a number you can easily remember, just in case you lose your FOB, and have to start your bike manually using the code procedure.

I lost one of mine and the spare was verified "bad" by a local dealer. New one cost $40. Not bad. I had already programmed a code so I could start the bike, but entering a code is a bit of a pain if you have to do it all the time.

You don't need to go to the dealer....http://www.ehow.com/how_7486894_prog...ob-harley.html

That isn’t for the proximity remotes because one of the steps involves pressing the button on the Fob.

Hold down the button on the remote that you wish to program to the transceiver until two flashes are seen coming from the signal and indicator lights on your motorcycle. You should receive this confirmation within 10 to 25 seconds. Repeat for any additional buttons at this time as well.
