Default The Re Evolution......???

Just throwing this out there.

Would you buy a New HD with a Retro 80 ci. EVO Motor ? Carb of course. 4 Speed, Chain drive.

IMO the Best Motor the Co. ever made.

Call it The Re Evolution. Copyright.

My 84 FXST was the Best Harley I ever owned.
Bone stock and 75,000 miles when I sold it, bet it still runs.

If they built it, would you buy it?

Nope. I will buy (another) Evo crate motor and build one, though. Late '70s FL frame, Evo motor, Baker tranny with N1 top, kick and electric foot.

I like the belt rear I converted mine to and since final is still 1-1 on both the 4&5 speeds I just changed my 1st /2nd ratios a bit instead , I've got way more than enough motor to overcome any gap in the gearing and winding out the gears on a entrance ramp just sounds awesome with a 4sp .

I commented to the parts guy at the dealer when talking about the 5 speed my mine.
I told him too bad it still didn't come with a kicker.
His smartass comment was, "you didn't go out and add a hand crank to your car did you?"

I miss that old shop. Small, dark, creaky wooden floor, sounds from the service area, and a old school owner that treated you like part of the family.

I've got a 90hp shovelhead that cruises comfortable at 80 with no mirror or heavy footpeg buzz , did the western half of Kansas into Colorado bit under 100 one day . Bike & the road where talking real good together that day .

Unless your running a fat tire or really beating the total **** outa the bike like constant burn off's & wheelies that belt works well . A serious balance & blueprint job on the whole drive train and the dual belts took a whole lot of ignorance and vibration outa my old girl .

I'd buy an Evo, but want at least a 5 or 6 speed, and no way would I go back to chain. No logical reason for it.
