6th gear indicator glitch?

6th gear indicator glitch?

Weird thing happened. '07 RKC,completely stock, 6K miles. Was coming to a stop for a traffic light, was in 4th gear with the clutch pulled in,about to downshift, and my 6th gear indicator light came on for a second or 2 & went out. Couldn't duplicate the problem again. Anybody have that happen? Ideas?

I have had it happen a couple a times this week going from 3rd to 2nd. It has not been a problem before this week.

Same here. Maybe Rocker is right. This week marks a record in solar flare activity.

I have had that happen a few times, prior to this week. I have a 2011 Fatboy Lo, 2k miles on it. when I was feathering the clutch is when it would happen, i figured it was no big deal.

Dickey.. I was so glad to see this happens to someone besides me I had to join the forum just to respond. My 09 FLHR does this same thing. Always seems to happen when I have the clutch squeezed in and am cruising up to a light. 6th gear light usually comes on as I downshift into 3rd gear. It's random, hard to reproduce when I had the dealer check into it so no solution yet.
Doesn't seem to harm anything, but I'm curious to see how many others this happens to. Is this a known issue?

Look forward to seeing others responses.
