I sometimes see someone ride past me with the blue, or green, or whatever color accent lighting ... reflecting off chrome, lighting up the ground, etc. You know the deal.
And im all like "oooohh ahhhh thats saweeeet!!"
But i cant seem to get myself to even look into it. Is it expensive? do i need to pay someone or is there a known location to stick certain lights?
Also it seems like the majority of bikes don't have this done, so id like to ask if you like it, would do it, have done it, don't like it, etc.
absolutely, i did it on my 05 dyna and you can set them up a 1,000 different ways, fun to play with even if they really serve no real purpose other than looks....
Don't see it on any bikes around here. At least not at any place that I go. Maybe they're big with the barhopping/bike night crowd, but not with people who ride. Again, at least around here. Their popularity may be regional.
I think anything that will legally make you more visible to the idiots on four wheels is good to go. The Harley light system is crazy expensive, but there are cheaper options out there. Be sure to turn them off when you get to your destination.
I did it and liked it but used a cheep set and all that ridding in the rain screwed them up. Will do it again but with a better kit. Here blue, red, and orange are illegal. I did blue but i'll do green next time. Go ahead and call me a poser but I like them and yes it makes me more visible at night.

I just have a few highlighting the engine and underneath floorboard. Also have a pair shinning down on the radio, so at night time I can turn radio on/off and change presets easier.
I formed my opinion of them w/o ever seeing them and I can tell you I thought it was pretty lame. However, after actually seeing for real I was pretty impressed. I'm just not ready to spend 2 grand to have it done!
