In these days of road rage and the steady increase of bad drivers, you have to let things slide if you wanna make it to your destination safely. Let the idiot go and be on your way and let the next idiot take care of them.

I live in No. Virginia & the DC area has surpassed LA in regard to traffic congestion. A law was just passed to the tune of a $100 ticket for hanging out in the left lane. It creates a very dangerous situation because of aggressive drivers trying to get by not to mention causing miles of backup. It reminds of me of the mentality of someone who sports a bumper sticker,
"I may be slow but I'm ahead of you".

When ya pass the left lane hoggers on the left shoulder, watch in your mirror for the surprized look when they get sprayed with gravel.
Part of my commute to and from work is 20 miles on a divided highway. Envariably, there will always be someone who decides nobody is going to pass them and they will pace next to a car in the right lane. Occasionally, I get the chance to get in front of them at the next traffic light and sit there while they are going through a turrets like tantrum because I'm not moving on the green light. Don't like that crap now do ya? Just stay in your car and you won't get hurt.

its the PASSING lane, not the fast lane. dont be a dick and get out of the way. you are not the arbitor of the road that gets to decide what speed others should drive at and technically in the wrong for impeding traffic.

OK there's this take, then there is reality... In NY the posted limit is 55, do 55 in the fast lane on an Interstate and you will tailgated, cursed at, cut off by hundreds of other motorists. If dealing with that level of aggravation is worth it just to prove a point of "I can do what I want, I'm doing the posted speed limit", have at it, for me I'll just give a little respect and hop over a lane to accommodate those that want to travel faster than me.

While technically this is true, it's an A hole move. You said as long as you're doing the speed limit you can ride in any lane you choose, so why would you choose the "fast" or "passing" lane other than to intentionally **** people off?
