you stick me behind a rolling road block, and I have to be somewhere on time,
all your going to see is F250 grill when you look in the mirror,
If you don't like it, get out the passing lane...dumbazz
I'm usually 80-85 in the left lane. I'll move over when I can if I'm overtaken. But, somebody sticks their grill on my a$$ (without flashing lights and a siren) I tend to get a little edgy. You'll most likely be seeing brake lights or I'm taking my foot off the gas.
OK there's this take, then there is reality... In NY the posted limit is 55, do 55 in the fast lane on an Interstate and you will tailgated, cursed at, cut off by hundreds of other motorists. If dealing with that level of aggravation is worth it just to prove a point of "I can do what I want, I'm doing the posted speed limit", have at it, for me I'll just give a little respect and hop over a lane to accommodate those that want to travel faster than me.
He doesnt' notice the the aggrevation behind him because he's too busy talking/texting.

Yup that's a good point, if I'm passing cars and say went up to 10 MPH over the limit and I'm obviously just passing, if you tailgate me and I can't get over I'll brake check you. Or if I'm in the middle or slow lane and getting tailgated is another way to raise my BP very quickly.
I went through the same thing yesterday on my way to Daytona. I was on a two lane just buzzing right along and I caught up to a group of Trikes, about thirty of them. The speed limit was 60 and they were cruising along at about 55, to many to pass so I settle back knowing that we are going to get four lanes in a few miles. Get to the four lane and these jokers split up with about half hitting the fast lane. Now we are going between 50 and 55 in a 65. They actually slowed on the four lane. Grrrrrrrrrrrr. About ten miles of this and they just would not move over, speed up or nothing. They had one hell of a backup going on when I turned off.
MOVE your *** over if you are going the same speed as the guy next to you.
Here`s my take on this , as long as I am doing the speed limit I feel I can ride in any lane I want to, Call it the fast lane but does not give you the right to Speed over the posted speed limit... Emergency vehicles I merge but just because someone wants to go faster than the posted speed limit does not constitute me moving around just so he can go faster...
Hmmm ..... a tune comes to mind .... "It's all about me, It's all about me ..... and .... in many states the "fast" lane is to be used for passing, once you've passed the vehicle code stipulates you merge back into right ( slower ) lane .... I think I learned that when I took drivers training back in 1965 ....

It has nothing to do with speed limits or fast lanes. It's called a passing lane and the reason it exists is so that different vehicles can travel in peace and harmony at different speeds on the same road. If you are not passing you should be in the right lane.
If you get passed on the right that should be an indicator to you that you are in the wrong lane.
If you are just hanging out in the left lane because you think you deserve it you are doing something for your convenience at the expense of others.

Glad to see that posters with common sense have jumped in here after fools like Hawgnutz posted.
I live in a state that has signs all along the freeway..."Keep Right Except To Pass" but do you think that changes anything? This should be automatic... that a driver would do this without thinking about it. And I'm paying to put up these signs for people with no common sense, and even when they read the signs nothing seems to click in their brains .... or those self-centered a$$holes who think it's their duty to regulate traffic flow.
But the sad truth is that most of these idiots just don't have a clue how to drive.
