People who live in $40K condos don't buy $40K Harleys.

That's why I keep what I got--my bikes are proven, and that makes 'em more attractive to me than a new sled. 'Sides--the MoCo ain't really come out with something affordable that I like lately. Then ya gotta deal with the cat, then the mods start all over.

No--unless you make the kinda $$ where 40Gs are pocket change, I'd eschew the idea.
My thought process on this was at three years old and 35,000 miles I still have fairly good resale value as the bike is still desirable. If I keep it a few more years and put another 25-30 thou miles on it I figure the trade in value would take a huge hit.

Ranger,

You could drop a 120R engine into your Ultra, and get a beautiful custom paint job for a fraction of what you would blow on that CVO Ultra. Is there something wrong with your current bike? Why go in debt up to your eyeballs on an impulse purchase? Customize the bike you have now, and save a ton of cash.

Whatever floats your boat. If you got the money, then do it. I guess your helping the economy out by buying another bike. A plus for everybody right??? Win win for the dealer, you, the salesman, the salesman's family, and the rest that need to make a living.

$40000.00....I am thinking...hot tub, fire pit concrete patio, screened in porch...outdoor kitchen...Might have enough left for a bottle of Crown XR.

Nothing at all wrong with current bike. I honestly love it. Which is why I was so surprised when I was so smitten with the sexy CVO bike. Perhaps it was simply the idea that I could get it that was so exciting. A couple of days now removed from the situation and I am realizing that it is not the best bike for my current financial situation.

Crown Xtra Rare is truly the nectar of the Gods and some of the finest liquid ever put by man in a bottle.

That is, if you like blended whiskies.
I prefer small batch, single barrel, straight bourbons like Stranahan's, Noah's Mill, Rowan's Creek, Sazerac 1792, Black Maple Hill, Pappy Van Winkle...

True that. I enjoy both and find there is a time and place for all of them. You do have excellent taste in spirits my friend.
