I'm just venting
I know quite a few good (enter motorcycle make X here) guys in fact most of them. So you good ones, please don’t get offended, but one of your “comrades” broke my mirror… it pisses me off.
I am a 32yo single father of 2 children. A seven year old daughter, and a 10yo son diagnosed with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy (http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmedhealth/PMH0001724/). I have problems keeping a job because my life revolves around my children. When I get a job I miss too much between my sons doctor apt and trying to give my daughter as normal of a life as she can have. We live off SSI and the money I make from odd jobs, I Do Not get food stamps. I refuse to apply even though I qualify. I live in the area of the Bastrop, TX fires so right now plenty of odd jobs. Anyways, I can’t afford a Harley. I’m sorry get over it. One day when my time comes maybe, my parents currently own and have owned many in the past. I do like them… beautiful machines… Now get over yourself!
I understand the made in America Pride I am American and a Veteran. But what does that mean? Your bike was made here so your more what? Patriotic? A lot of the accessories you are putting on it are made in Mexico. The jacket you’re wearing good chance not made in the US of A, and what about your car?? I love the damn civic you commute with. Just so you know my daily driver is a ’72 (enter american car here). I think I found my next bike a (enter model of dress motorcyle here), kind of want a full dressed bike since my son don’t have the strength to hold on anymore. It’s a $500 bike in a box, I’ll put it together with my kids.. It just doesn’t get much more American than that, maybe just apple pie.
I got a deal on my bike, one no fool would turn down. I saved my pennies and paid cash. Bike is mine but I still pay for my right to ride. The money I spent on the bike could have very well been spent on maybe a van with a wheelchair lift. But I found that one freedom so valuable to me I still pay for it. I personally disassemble into 2 parts and lift my son’s 323lb electric wheelchair into the trunk of my car every time we go somewhere. I live in a rural area so his bus stops at the end of the road. His wheelchair can not make it .7 miles down a dirt road by its self, so I load it up. On an average day I load more into my trunk than what your “Glide” weighs. All because I would rather tough it out and ride. Give a guy a break, I earned my right to be here too.
If it was something I did to offend you, I humbly apologise. I didn’t mean to park too close, look at your girl, own a brand of bike you don’t like. What ever the reason, I don’t know. You never came to talk to me. If it was so important that you needed to break something, well here is my face, it was I that made the mistake. If it was something we could have fixed together I would have been proud to make a new friend.
So for the next guy that decides to twist off my mirror I’m not scared to show my face, are you? I am really a nice guy we probably have a lot in common. But then again if you lack so much respect you and are so scared you need to hide behind MY BIKE maybe we don't.

Call someone who cares.
Secondly,
That's probably what you are.
Thirdly, and this one is probably lost on you. How do you know who the hell broke your mirror? Your diatribe doesn't bear this out.
This thread won't make it far, so good luck and good riddance.
Shakey
Here's my idea for this failure of a thread
Lets discuss the upcoming bike week in Arizona and everyone's thoughts on it, plus any ride plans. Personally i look forward to the Tbar trail ride every year

You are a veteran, thank you for your service.
I'm sorry your bike got damaged but, how do you know it was a "Harley rider" who did it? You must have seen him or her? If so, did you get a tag number, description of the vehicle or description of the vandal? Did you report it to the police with that information? There are always bad seeds in every group, not fair to generalize.
The Best of Harley-Davidson for Lifelong Riders
Not trash talking the Brand never once said anything to trash talk the machine and By all means not all riders of said Brand pretty sure I clearly stated most Harley riders are great people.
