Just got my Bates Riding Collection Ormond SZ. I didn't even know Bates made riding boots. Most I've seen were military boots. These are really nice looking boots, well made and fit well. I got them from workbooks.com for $109.99. All the other sites I seen them on they were selling for $150+. No problems with shipping. Here's the link.
I just got a pair of the Bates Escalante boots and out of the box they are the most comfortable riding boot I've ever owned. No break in period at all. Hopefully they will also hold up to the rigors of riding. The Escalante by bates is the same boot the Harley sells as the Lynx. My local stealer wanted $185 for the HD Lynx boot and I paid $100 for the Bates Escalante.
BTW, I tried the Bates Ormond boots and they felt pretty good, but the Escalantes felt like I was walking on a cloud in comparison.
I just picked up a pair of Bates "copper trail" from their riding series on workboots.com.
I previous had a pair of Harley boots that hurt my feet so bad that I never wore them!
I was pleasantly surprised when I first put on my new bates boots, they are as comfortable as my slippers, I kid you not, they are the most comfortable boot I have ever worn! I would highly recommend bates boots, at least the model I have.
Out of the box comfort, not even broken in yet, and I love them!
They are awesome!
