Do you pass a cop car?
This past week I have seen 2 cars and a bike pass sheriff's cars, the cars were pulled over but not the bike. It made me wonder how many do pass a cop car? I know I don't.

Having driven one for thirty years, pass driving safely. I would get more aggravated when anyone saw the car and slowed to ten under the speed limit.

I would think its something to do with the speed limit.

If it's a marked car and it's going under the speed limit I will and have. If they're going at or above the limit I just pace behind them at a decent distance back.

So your saying you got a ticket for passing a cop while not going over the speed limit? There has to be more to the story here.

Cops out here will play a little game running a few miles under the limit to see who chokes behind them , hell yes I'll go round them over the limit sometimes if the other traffic is doing to too .

Just remember, cops are usually doing the speed limit or faster. Ergo, if you pass them, you are speeding.

On a multilane road I do when they're going slower than the speed limit. I've never had the opportunity on a singlelane.

I'll pass as long as I'm not going more than 5 miles over the limit. Still feels weird though
