power ranger clothes dont go with HARELYS , look in the cruiser section for riding gear that will suit your needs and the style of the bike your looking at

Whatever you decide, try on the jacket while sitting on a bike if you can. I bought a nice FirstGear leather for less than half of it's list price, but I never tried it on while sitting on the bike. I bought it big for layering as a winter jacket, but it is a bit too long in the torso and and bunches up when sitting on the bike.

I would look for a textile that has a removable liner in case you want it for cooler mornings, similar to this. Removable armor is also nice, with CE being better than foam. Some textiles are thin and won't offer the road rash protection of leather, and heavier textiles will be just as hot as leather. Perforated leather is an option to textile, but I personally don't like the look and would think an equivalent textile would still be cooler.

I looked at your link, and I had seen this particular jacket on that website before. Great price point, but don't want foam, want CE quality protection. I'll keep looking. Nice tip about sitting on a bike and trying it on though, that's the type of pointers that help a newbie out quite a bit.

Look at the pics from MADDOG187. Just don't get something with a collar. Get one with a snap, like his pic on the left. Collars flap all over the place.

I've posted this twice, but HDForums keeps crashing - maybe it will take this time!
This one isn't 'HD' style, but I wanted something with multiple liners for N Texas weather and good protection; including visibility. I wear it anytime I'm on a longer ride or on the highway. Xelement @ Leatherup

Yeah, hopefully HD Forums will get it's act together. The crashing and slow refresh speeds suck lately.

I notice this is like the style I posted earlier. I'm ok with the style, and this has minimal logo/crazy words on it.

This jacket actually looks decent, seems to have good protection and is a decent price... This looks more around the lines of something I am looking for, just need to make sure I'm not going to bake in the North Texas Summer heat.

Temperature is fine when I'm moving, if you're stopped for an extended period it starts to get warm. I think that's going to be the way with any jacket with decent protection.

Not to post every jacket that I find, but here is another one I'm interested in because of it's breathability, styling is decent, and has very good armor. I've read that this "CE approved armor passing the highest level EN1621-1 & EN1621-2 impact tests" is a higher standard than most, correct?
