Looking for a good jacket. I'm a newbie and have no experience riding. Taking my MSF class in the middle of May. Looking for a jacket that will be cool during the sizzling Summer month in North Texas, but also that has a lot of protection. Mesh is good, lots of padding. I think it'll be too hot in the Summer for leather. (Or not, opinions welcome.)
I have a River Road Sedona and have been very happy with it. Well made and without flames, slogans and Power Ranger looks. It's less expensive than many out there and a good value (under $100). The Tourmaster is excellent but more expensive.
HD jackets are very good quality , but are dear , look at the dealers , find one you like and the size that fits and then look on EBAY and see if you can find it cheaper ,
i got a Ł500 HD jacket with a hooded fleece liner in it for extra winter warmth for Ł160 new with tags delivered from a u.k HD dealers , the leather is meant to be coated to reflect sunlight , it is without doubt the best leather bike jacket Ive owned and it will take body armour as well if i feel the need ,
I'm not overly keen on the back design , but a bit of black die will sort that out one day ...
but good deals are there , you just need to look hard
I have a Joe Rocket Mesh jacket that I have worn in 105 deg temps and the only time I got hot was when I was stopped in traffic. It has removal aurmor and even a reflective vest if I want to use it. The wife bought it for me here: http://www.motorcycle-superstore.com...T.ac=SLIsearch
Really? Or is it that I would look like a billboard and "power ranger" as mentioned lol. I'm not fond of the styling, hence I'm asking all you seasoned riders. I'd prefer not to look like an advertisement, but I'm more interested in quality and safety than anything.
