washed my bike with a power washer today. Now it runs bad. I read that water may have got in the power commander. I unplugged some things and no water came out. Exactly where does the water go? I also just got S&S .510 gear cams put in, so I hope the adjustable pushrods did not loosen? Can ya guys help me with some wisdom??
Depends on your bike, the Dyna's don't have room under the seat for the PC and the connector is located behind the rear cylinder, the PC under the ECM behind the fuse box.
On softails, the ECM is under the seat and the PC is in front of the rear fender.
Are your ECM and PC under the seat? Look for the connectors into the PC and the ECM.
Pull the large gray connectors and make sure all of the water is out, then coat with dielectric grease and reassemble.

It happened to me one day with just a regular hose wash. Don't know exactly what they're called but one of the large connectors that hangs outside behind the rear cylinder was full of water. I dried it and filled it with diaelectric grease and haven't had a problem since.
