2012 Ultra Limited. Owners manual calls for 28oz of tranny fluid. Would it be a bad thing to put the whole 32oz bottle in? Is that extra 4oz going to hurt anything?
Sorry for the dumb question but I hate trying to measure small quantities like that.
Doesn't the trans have a dipstick? Yes is does. So pour in some trans fluid and check the dipstick and pour in until full on the stick. How hard is this?

I didn't say it was hard.
All I asked is if it would do harm by putting the whole 32oz in. I don't need a lesson in reading a dipstick.

If it would do no harm, then I would rather put the whole quart in instead of wasting it. If if is not good to do this, then I will measure then check the level.
So I will be measuring out 28oz and going from there.

actually, your owners manual states:
** When refilling, initially add 28 oz 0.83 L and add as needed to bring level within specification.
so start with about 28, get it hot, and check it and add oil until it's full. after a couple of oil changes, you'll notice that it takes 28 oz + x each time, and then when you change the oil, just add that amount and check it and you should be good.
