I bought some "standard" ear plugs and have them in my coat but I can never remember to use them! I don't think about them until I'm on the highway.

Totally agree. I could never go back to riding without plugs. I can hear everything I WANT to hear better now too (exhaust, stereo etc..). Only the wind noise is gone.
