Default Help with Windshield Selection

I've never ridden with one ... and am puzzled which to get

any opinions welcome

The Super Sport looks good, but wonder if it covers enough

Does the touring cover too much ?

Either effect handling much more than the other ?

I know nothing, so any info appreciated

Thanks

Do a search, there's going to be a lot of *** holes and dip ***** give you hell for asking this. One common response will be to ride in a F'n cage. Screw them, I'm looking for one too. I'm kind of leaning towards one from Long Ride Shields, they are a forum sponsor and have some good stuff.

I like Long Ride Shields. Check out their website. I prefer a recurve style windshield with a slight flair at the top to help wind go over your head. Height is personal preference. Some prefer looking thru a shield while I believe most including me look just over it with the shield just below your nose.

You will probably like a windshield if you spend much time on the highways. Let the bugs furnish their own transportation. Take a look a Clearview shields. I put one on my RG and like it.

I put Memphis Shades(fats) on my sg in March and have not taken it off yet. First time with one and I like it.

I have the Harley short quick release. I like it, well built and the quick release leaves nothing on the bike.

While you're at it might as well ask which oil is best. (HAR HAR) Problem is no windshield will give the same results to two different riders. You can have the perfect shield and change the seat and the shield is now junk. Like most of us you will eventually have a ''collection'' in your garage. Posture, wind direction and velocity are game changers too. I the past 5 yrs I've owned 3 bikes and 6 windshields. I wish you luck in your search.
