Paint the front half of your fender to look like your tire tread ... and paint the back half with a red triangle with white design to mimic the look of a bandana ...

Then you'll have the appearance of using a bandana with the widely acknowledged benefits of a fender ...

+1

Most of the water and other stuff flies off the top of the tire and the bandana will block a lot of that. Some of you seem to think everything comes from the bottom but if you ever see someone riding in the rain without a rear fender that is when you will see a real rooster tail. If you do it yourself you will be amazed at how wet and filthy the back of your jacket/vest/shirt gets.

Without a front fender you can create a rooster tail in front and you ride into it. A bandana helps with that.

thanks
Me too, but here in Massachusetts they are illegal, and you will not get an inspection sticker without a front fender. So besides worrying about the bandanna, make sure you check your local state laws regarding removing a fender before you do it!

I rode with no front fender for years, the only thing that the tires flings up to face level is water

You will have one nasty and dingy bandana if you tie that thing to the forks. Forget full face helmets unless you're on a sport bike. Get an open face helmet with a face shield. That will spare your face from any debris and will not compromise your look on a harley. It will also match the bobber look.

I think it only works with a raked front end . Use to see a lot of bandanas on forks catching the drip from bad seals
