I think the fenderless look is ok on 13-16" over grider or springer front ends, but not on stock looking front ends.
Rode with a 13" grider for a few years with no fender, not fun imho.
And there is enough crud kicked up to cause finish problems on paint and chrome.
And having to lean to one side to see in the rain was no fun either.
But it was cool...
Bandanas... most definitely at night helps. i wear a head band n an "outlaw style" bottom(from glasses down) it helps a sh!tload on texas nights!!! Daytime just a top band but grasshoppers r a **** at 80 caught o.e yesterday n had to coast to the shoulder a lil to shake it off. Wife still can't get me in a full lid. Love driving her nutz
I rode a shovel for many years with a 21" front and no fender. Never had an issue with dirt or debris. Tying a bandana across the forks just rubbing the tire when raining is beneficial. It's definately sacrificial. I wouldn't make a habit of riding in the rain witout a fender, but in a pinch the bandana works better than nothing.
So now what does it mean if you have a black bandana hanging out of the back of your assless chaps? Wait a minute, I don't think I really want to know!
