Default Throttle Grip slipping

My throttle grip has become loose enough to slip a bit while I'm riding. I don't really notice - I must be subconsciously just twisting more. I can easily slip the grip off. They're not stock HD grips - aftermarket ISO. Do I need to put some type of glue on it? If so, what's the best glue to use?

I pulled the grip off and cleaned mine when it got loose and then used some double sided adhesive tape on the sleeve only.

Then swab the inside of Ur grip with some lacquer thinner and on the tape to slip it back on, (don't be stingy), still, U want to slip it on quickly or it can stop before U bottom it out.

Its the same way I re-grip Golf clubs....

let her sit for 10mins or so... done.

My grip came loose while out riding about 2 months ago. When I stopped for lunch there was a woman sitting in her car next to me. I asked her if she had any hair spray with her, and could I borrow a bit of it. She looked a bit skeptical but actually did have a can of it. I pulled the grip off, wiped the bar down, sprayed a good amount of hair spray inside the grip and reinstalled it. When I handed the hair spray back to her she began to laugh, saying that she was really curious what I was going to use it for and was going to tell her biker brother about it.

The grip is still stuck on just fine. (I wonder what her hair looks like when she uses that hair spray )

I've heard of using hair spray. Scary that it works so well!

I tried silicon caulk. Worked for about 800 miles. Have to try something else now.

The alcohol is not what makes it sticky. That is its thinner and once it evaporates it adhears to the hair. And grips?

Yeah,i know.
I was referring to using hairspray as a last resort on grip tape for clubs,or dbl sided tape on bike grips

been using hairspray for years on grips. when still wet the spray will act as a lubricant and allow the grip to slide on, and then the spray dries and holds. Ive had to cut off grips that were installed with hairspray. Should be noted that ive only used it installing new grips. Dont know how, or even if it would work on grips that have been on and off the bars.
