Baby But head here as well. I wear a Boonie hat with mesh flow through vents to keep my noggin cool and burn free. Works well. I like it better than a ball cap for the cool (non heat) factor and I can stick it in my back pocked or wherever when I'm parked and don't have to worry it blowing away in a gust of wind.
EDIT...If you every decide to try one, make sure to get one that doesn't have any firmness to the brim. I have one that has a reinforced brim and it wants to create lift like an airplane wing when I get up to speed.
Hey, that's a good idea. I'm always looking for something to cover my head riding and when I get where I'm going - baseball caps won't stay on and I hate doo rags. A boonie cap might be just the deal and I already have a couple. Don't know whay I never thought of using it on a motorcycle before - guess I forgot they have a chin strap.

A word of warning if you start using one. I don't run a windshield anymore and when I first started wearing mine, I would look down to check my oil pressure (gauge on the rear rocker box) and the wind would blow the brim down over my eyes.
When I'm moving the wind blows the brim up against the front of the hat but the other direction if ya look down.
I just took an old run pin I have and pinned the brim up to the front of the hat. Problem solved but it rattled me the 1st time I looked up and couldn't see where I was going for a second.
I am all for forcing other people to wear helmets. Especially when they drive an auto or mow their lawns. Probably would be a good addition for swimming pools but we need to add something to them for neck protection from shallow end diving.

Why stop there? I'm kinda clumsy, and I bonk my noggin all the time at home. I think helmets should be mandated 24/7/365 !

Didn't New Jersey or some state around there (I think it may have been Mass.) just go through this topic........for kids playing soccer? They wanted to make it mandatory to play.
Good luck heading the ball with a helmet on.
Somewhere the soccer gods are laughing.
