Default Looking for a missing part

I have a sunray heated seat that is missing the wiring harness that connects from the seat to the bike. My local Harley shop has no idea where I can get this since they can't find a part number for it. Of course it exists, it comes original with the seat, but no one can help me locate another one for it. Does anyone know of a company or vendor that makes or sells the heating element component? It's crazy that a person can't replace this one little part without buying another one for 800 dollars!? I'd appreciate any input anyone has.

how hard would it be to make one?

seems they should be able to find out who actually manufactured the seat and you could contact them.

Look for an instruction sheet - the part number will be on that.

Make one. You would prolly do a better job than that 12 year old chine's girl did!

I was going to try to make one myself until I saw the connector it would take to fix it. I have no idea where I could get it. I'm trying to find out who manufactured it or who the vendor is but even Harley Davidson can't tell me. Thanks for trying to help.

I have the instruction sheet but it only has the part number that replaces the seat strap and every Harley shop I've contacted tells me this and "sorry, can't help you". Thanks anyway

You're probably right. I was going to, but the connector isn't simple to reproduce after I checked it out under the seat cover. Thanks

Did you just buy the seat new from a dealer?

Looks like a connector you could get at Napa.
