Just curious. Stock was to slow for me. Did a Stage 1 and wasn't impressed so I went to a Stage 4. Much better but I confess that I could use a little more.
Then there are guys that run stock and don't need the extra power. It's a cruiser and I'm just cruising man. I can respect this.
So ... What did you do ?

I am not a speed freak and I like controllable power.
Good thing my father in law is a speed freak and I have seen him dump a lot of $ into his motor and got to ride his bike. Fun, but he sure doesn't use all that power too often.
Lots of barely used stock parts at swap meets. Good place for 'em.
No "stage", but the right combination of things sure wakes the ol' girl up.
Exit, stage left.
I know what the stages are, but some of the folks may know they modded their motor but don't know the stages. Can you edit the poll to include a short discription?
have a 110, have balanced, trued, and welded the flywheels, H-beam rods, dave mackie heads, with bigger valves, ported and polished, flycut, 10.5 pistons, .598 cams (mackie) lefty brgs on both sides 58mm throttle body TP rocker boxes, roller rockers, and rev performance's EMS fuel system. runs pretty darn good!! not a stage kit by any means

Stage 2 for me.
I get confused with that as well.
Didn't do mine as any kit, but assume it is equivalent to Stage 3.
Stage 1 HD AC
Custom bored to 103 ci
Andrew 54h cams.
I assume stage 4 would be porting the heads. And obviously new pipes for me. I'm happy with the slip-ons for now though.

Stage 2 for me.
I'm really just curious about Stock vs Modified.
Stock Harley's are to slow for me but they are fine for many people and I'm curious what the poll will eventually show. I have to admit that at 51, I tend to drive a little slower every year and its more about the cruise than the speed but I still like the awesome power.
If I list a description of what each Stage is someone is gonna come by and complain that I got it wrong. If the poster don't know what Stage they did but they modified there bike to perform better than just pick category 6. Or... Just wing it and pick a category you think you fit in. To many variables and lots of research needed to make that poll accurate. We could start a never ending thread on a poll like that ...lol

Stage 1 - no desire to uprgrade at this time. My last bike was a TC88 and had a lot of work done but I am pretty happy with the 103. As long as I don't take anyone's bike out for a ride, I think it will remain as-is. If I don't know what I'm missing - I'm not missing anything.
