Default Unplug your battery tender if you are in Sandy

FYI, If you lose power you don't want the surge when it is turned on to fry your ECM.

one would also think the battery would absorb the spike---------------and act as a filter so to speak

after the battery tender got the spike-------------------I wouldn't be as worried about the tender as everything else in the house. If you are worried maybe a battery backup for the battery tender would be in order lol

I have a Belkin surge protector on mine. But I have had surges go right through them. I would hate to be at a dealer having them try to guess what is fried on my electronics.

I live in a rural area-------------get hit all the time but that is one thing I haven't worried about,I fear the tender will flake out and overcharge boiling the battery more than anything, then I will throw a leg over it and somehow get it on my *****
