Yes, I have used one............ONCE. That was enough for me. My neighbor owns one and I didn't have a jack and he let me borrow it. Does it get the bike in the air.....YES. Is it stable......NOT FOR ME it wasn't. It literally scared me as Troy pointed out with the release mechanism. I bought an aluminum Sears Professional off craigslist. It flexed WAY TOO MUCH for my liking lifting my heavy Ultra. I bought a Pitbull and then bought another Pitbull and another and then a J&S. I had a total of 3 Pitbulls and 1 J&S jack. I currently own the Pitbull for washing and the J&S for maintenance. They are all I'll use. Just my 2 cents.

One bike, 4 lifts, one (or three) for washing & another for maintenance. I guess it's good to have 3 spares NTTIAWWT. Hopefully you don't play drums!

Hey Golfblues..........funny you mention drums. Yes, I do play and currently play a set of top of the line Tama Starclassics and I have a vintage set of Ludwig Super Classics in storage.

I only have ONE Pitbull and One J&S jack currently. I think they both are awesome.

I've had the same jack for several years. I use it to lift my Ultra Limited all the time. It works great.

I want opinions based on actual use and I have some good comments. The only negative ones so far are ones who wouldn't like it anyway, and apparently have never owned or used it.
I did, thought about it when I was moving my jack this morning. Apologies, apologies. **** happens when you get old I guess. I edited the post and made the correction.

My HF yellow jack works fine, i have had the SG off the floor to take off the front end and wasnt concerned with it, just remember to strap the bike down, better safe than out of cash!!

When I was in the market for a bike jack/lift, I researched the HF yellow jack and discovered we have a local HF in Omaha so off I went for a "physical" inspection. Within 2-min of playing/testing I was convinced it wasn't the quality I wanted. Their locking mechanism was poorly designed and I stood on the rails and they seemed very flimsy. Even though it works well for many riders/owners - I ended up purchasing a J&S...JMO.

i have a well used yellow steel HF bike jack. i had a shovelhead on it for a couple years, had a 01 EGC on it for 4 months with no front end, had several sportsters on it,lots of bike maintenance. a riding mower, lifted the transmission in/out of my diesel f350, a 4 wheeler, used it to move some shelving across my garage a few times.. i have never tied anything down on it, and never had a problem.
there are two screws on the lift that screw down onto the floor to stabilize the lift. they make a world of difference when you use them.

I have the HF yellow jack also. I don't know how many times I have picked my heritage or ultra up with it. Never had an issue. The ultra was up for 2 months once while being stripped, painted, and put back together. The only issue I have with it is lowering as mentioned earlier. You need to push the lever all the way down because it lowers rou if you depress it slowly. Worth what I paid for sure.
