Do you have a link for that? I'd like to look in to it. incredible info thanks!
Gas and oil get 8.6, but oil by itself gets on average 6.65. Surprised me!

Here is the link to the data he was 1/2 looking at

Same bashers, different day. I have a '99 and an '08. Both have had some troubles, but always got me home. Truly, if I do not like a company I will not buy their products, whatever they may be, or how much I think I might like their product. Therefore, if I thought the MOCO was a **** company, I would ride something else.

I think that reflects on the buyer more than the manufacturer. No one is putting a gun to anyone's head to make them buy farkles (a metric term for bling). The Moco provides a service and many take them up on it. It would be stupid of them to do it any other way. Metric manufacturers do it, just not as well as Harley Davidson.

As far as replacing perfectly good parts on a new bike - That is the rule for any bike rather than the exception in my experience. I ditch the seats, suspension, and exhausts on my BMWs immediately. Lots of people do that to their GWs, Triumphs, etc.

These guys seem to forget that just a couple of short years ago, Harley was fighting to survive. The bashers like to refer to it as strong arm tactics of the MOCO that had them streamlining their dealer network, consolidating their operations, and achieving greater efficiency to remain in business. Bashers say they weren't trying to remain in business. They were simply trying to greedily grab profit, not remain solvent!
Yeah, the nerve of those shitbags at the MoCo,using modern marketing techniques to boost the bottom line.Greedy, unprincipled dicks,is what they are, shoulda' gone belly up when they had the chance.

Good friggin" luck w that.
The morons and idiots have taken over. China could "Red Dawn" the US tomorrow.
China hits the main "TV off" button for the US and 80-90% of the country would be clueless w/o the idiot box [all china made] Superstorm Sandy PROVED that.

Not so hard to predict, watch all the rags from every filthy sand box attack Israel.
Watch Israel fight on 3 fronts, they're good but war on multiple fronts has a proven history of "NOT GOOD"
Ya all don't wanna hear my other "predictions" re: our fuel needs/supply.

Something to add to your little poll there:

What is the best feature of a Victory? From lot's of experience on both.

1. The engine (makes much better power 92 hp/105 ft. lbs with stage 1. $1400 for cams,tuner. 110 hp./115 ft.lbs. if so desired.No pinging,no heat issues,no oil leaks,no bad compensator sprocket,no chains,can replace drive belt in 1 hr.in a camp ground if needed,do an oil change in 15 min,no limp mode,no heat management,no added tuner )
2. The instrument cluster (much easier to read, don't need an oil temp. gauge, the radio, ambient air temp. gauge actually work, better cruise control)
3. The fenders(no bottoming out riding 2 up,stock suspension actually works,
no dents on the front fender due to dropping outer batwing after replacing broken
fairing brackets)
4.The wheels(well they're cast wheels with GOOD bearings.Do to more lean angle and better handling I can wear a little more rubber off the tire edges)
5. The head light( incredible HID lighting comes stock, not a $600 accessory. Can run both high beams and HID at the same time.)
6. All of the above($6k less than an FLHTK)

I guess it's fair to shoot back after having your brand insulted. But, are you really going to use a mistake on your part - dropping the fairing when you worked on it?

No I didn't,do a search you'll find lots of people who have, street glides especially acct.no spot lights to rest the fairing on.I stuck a pair of work socks on the lamps so as not to scratch the paint.Remember that when you have to replace your broken brackets.

Ugliest bike on the road today. That son of a gun could do everything perfect and I still wouldn't ride one.
