I'm running the stock baffles but I really like the sound of the ripsaws. Anyone hear or have a clip of the bss pipes with no baffle? Would I lose power buy taking them out does that tiny baffle do anything that's in there now?

Youd lose some "torque" (people keep saying, feels the same as power in my book) and I just lost 8-10 MPG switchign from stock, super quiet pipes to mostly unbaffled cycle shack slip-ons.
When I got my current fatboy, the previous owner pulled the v&h baffles. I didnt like the pipes wide open. It was obnoxiously loud, and the 'bark' made my ears tingle. I put the stock baffles in it, and it only got a lil quieter. Took the edge off. I noticed a slight increase in grunt down low when I put them back. I've been debating some big city quiet thunders, just because they have a tone I really dig

Have U tried U tube for V&H's straight pipes?

Yes most loose 10-15% Tq in the lower RPM's.
Plus U take the chance of really pissing off some neighbors if U leave early or come home late.
Also Ur just asking for a Ticket in a lot of areas.
Usually Ur ears will really take a beating if U take long rides or trips.
And U can't believe how loud they will be on anyone who rides to the side or behind U.
Son had BR's2--2 and BBL's and even those are loud riding to the right or behind him.. It was bad enough for me that I told him to ride behind me when we rode together. I already have Tendinitis and I don't need to loose any more of my hearing.

Yep, same here. My Fatboy came with straight V&H Longshots. I bought some "quiet" baffles and they took the edge off at low RPM's but they are still plenty loud when I get on it.
I've got an '08 Fatboy w/V&H Bigshots and the noise was driving me crazy. The high frequency stuff that makes you irritable. Was getting only 32-35 MPG with the FI mapped for the pipes and free-flow air cleaner. Installed a V&H Quiet Baffle and they're still really loud, but its all deep rumble. The additional backpressure increased MPG to 40. No pop on decal. Life is good!
