Default Who Is This Guy

Anyone know anything about James Russell of James Russell Publishing. He sells E-books and writes a pretty scathing article on HD twin cams and 103's. His article titled "Before You Buy A Harley Davidson Motorcycle-You Need To Read This Article" Is quite a hit piece. Just wondered what the deal is with this guy and if anyone had heard of him.

I just searched "James Russell Publishing" and didn't find anything. Care to help by posting links?

Looks like his whole bitch is chain driven cams...I agree that gear driven is better and that Harley "could" make this a stock feature, just not sure this guys very public posting of his very exaggerated opinion is any bigger a deal then the opinion itself.

Odd that he took such a dramatic approach to publishing his opinion but in the end, who cares, he won't change any minds nor does punishing his opinion make the predictions he concludes from them credible.

His article is best ignored IMHO. It is misleading and full of errors.

He talks about how wonderful the Victory bikes are, but doesn't mention why Polaris had to buy his bike back from him due to problems he had.

Could you elaborate with links? I would love to hear that story.

edit - nevermind. Found it. http://www.jamesrussellpublishing.biz/victory.html

Typical James Russell hilarity -

"I took a chance and believed the Polaris Victory positive advertising and videos on television and on their Web site. I bought the bike sight unseen and without test driving. And what happened? I had some problems with the bike, but Victory corporate bought the bike back from me."

then says -

"The best thing about buying a Victory motorcycle is that you will never have all of the problems a Twin-Cam Harley-Davidson motorcycle will give you."

This guy cracks me up.

"Not many riders have even ridden a 125 cubic inch V-twin and lived to tell about it."

"Then on April 25, 2001 I got a serious case of acid indigestion and died."

Seriously - this guy provides good entertainment.

The first time was on September 25, 2001 when I died

Again?? That's twice in one year! I would think he had bigger fish to fry than the horrors of the Harley Twin Cam.

"I was sleeping and I was quickly raised up off my bed by someone who grabbed onto my left arm. I could not turn my head to see who it was, my neck just would not turn at all, but I could see it was like a transparent arm and hand with a light golden yellowish tone and it dragged me to the door of my home and made me to sit up to catch some fresh outside air."

and later.......

The deer was about three feet from impacting the left side of my bike's front wheel then the miracle happened. Instead of hitting me, the deer stopped, but it was still running at full speed. I could hear its hooves clicking on the pavement but the deer was not only stopped its forward motion, it was running sideways but its feet were still running forward.

Ok.....now he's starting to make some sense. Maybe he's right about this whole exploding twin cam thing.
