Hey Y'all. This is the first time I've ever posted on anything like a forum. I'm getting ready to try and install Cycle Smith's 16" Ape Hangers on my 2006 Ultra Classic, and am hoping that someone out there has done a similar install. I know I keep reading that the BEST way to do it is to get the bars, install them, THEN measure for length on cables and lines. This would seem to be a pretty common install, and would like to order everything together and then start the install. If I have to reorder a different length cable or line, I will, but if possible, would like to try to get everything at once. I don't plan on changing the risers, and am restricted by the fairing, so I can't imagine there's alot of variations possible.
Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

I used a 4" over stock to do my WO 10" Bagger Apes. Sooo,I would imagine a 10 over clutch cable would make it. A 12" certainly will. The throttle and idle cables I don't know.
your best bet (I think), would be to get the 16" wire and cable kit from Burly. Don't know of a link, but if you look on ebay you will find it. very fair price and will have everything you need. ........ buy your bars, a Burly Kit, a case of beer, and a few hours later...... your going down the road with your new apes.
I may give the 12 over a shot. I had looked at the Burley cable kits, but it appears that they aren't for anything prior to '08, dunno why, but... also, I need to make sure my radio, cruise, etc connections are extended. I know in the end, I'll be happy I did this rather than the dealership. I was there yesterday asking about the 12s that are available thru HD, and the parts guy said he could have me "out the door" for under $1500... I'm looking at being "out MY door" under $500 doing the labor with a buddy... actually, I'll probably be handing wrentches to my buddy watching while he does it...
