It is a pita, at least for me. I want to make the rite choice. I really like the look of the short shot staggereds, but every one and their brother runs them. I like the Exile/Basani Shot guns, oddly enough I like the Big growl down and dirtys. I know the big growls are china made, the chrome is not that great, but I really like the style with the slight kick down at the back. The other 2 are much better quality chrome, the exiles I have read get pretty hot due to the heat shield set up, back to the V&H every one has them. I am at a stalemate, driving my self crazy. But have it narrowed down to them 3. I am not sure what to do. Sorry for the rant
I am in the same boat for the same reasons, it is so frustrating. I have a couple picked out myself and for one reason or another I just can't settle on one. I am glad I have the winter to think about it, but I don't think I will ever find any I am 100% sold on.
The bottom set is the set I really like. I just like the meatiness of them, its nice eye candy. I like the look of 2 pipes together vs the big over under. The only thing with that again is people have said they got HOT under your leg.

I think these are bad *** looking also but it is the ultima Big growls, the price is rite, but again I have read the chrome could be a little nicer. Still could get these with heat shields for under 200 buks. The construction is nice, so is the fitment.

I would get what you want and not worry about what everyone else has, your bike may end up having the same exhaust as someone elses but its what you do with everything else to make your bike stand out. Good luck mate

Yeah, this.
You are dreaming if you want to hold out for a great looking, great sounding, well made set of pipes that no one else has. Just get what you want and don't worry about anyone else.

What everybody else said except this. If you don't like the ones you buy you can always sell them and get another set. Pipes will not break the bank so to speak.

I've run those and liked 'em. Actually thinking about putting them back on and changing up the look...
