Interesting. If Harley would move, what would the union pay its members ? NOTHING. The unions preach envy and how the company was built on there backs. Yet at the same time has the union ever lowered their union dues ??? NOPE, there costs rise while at the same time they try and cut costs, but your never hear them say that. What do you think the Head Union Guy Makes ? LOTS Needless to say, health care costs have dramatically increased, and businesses need to turn a profit or no one has a job. I pay a co pay and have no problem with that. I am also paid for what I do... haveplenty of vacation, plus holidays, 401(K) w/ 100% employer match up to 6%, and I have made more now that ever and I do not belong to a union.
In the article below, it says that Harley is giving a 4% raise over three years and they will double the companies contribution to the 401(k) retirement plans. When a company expands, it adds employees to the payroll.

Right on! I'm a union employee at a major aircraft manufacturer and I can tell you about the employees who you wouldn't hire to sweep your driveway and who you wouldn't even let llok at your bike, but we pay them $50-70K a year!
