Super 8 at Oakes Rd. and Washington area. About 27 miles from Canal St.
Not my first pick for a hotel. But way closer than from home. We are coming across the lake from Muskegon Mi.
That's not bad. I don't think it's in a dicey area. It's closer to Sturtevant than Racine which is a good thing. You're right by Hwy 38, which a good alternate route to Milwaukee and an okay ride for awhile. Then you can cut over to 32 and follow the lake. That eventually takes you to Bayview - Milwaukee's latest "cool" neighborhood. Lots to do there.
Or just hop on I-94 and you're 20-25 minutes away from downtown and the Harley Museum. I'de say you did well.
I'm planning on going to the 110th and will staying with a relative. Anyone familiar with the Harley 110th celebration ticket? Is this worth the price? The celebration ticket says it comes with:
Collapsible Koozie $1 canned beer specials and $1 bottled water
Aug 29 Sep 1, 2013 at the Harley-Davidson MuseumŽ (one beer per koozie per order must bring koozie to Milwaukee and show at time of order)
Is this only 1 beer for the entire celebration? Are they other benefits worht the $100+ price?
95th 1200- You nailed it on the head when you talked avout the North Side. I grew up in Muskego, but when I was 19 lived in the north side area with friends, cheap housing so we could afforsd beer...lol... granted that was back in the early 80's, but wasd still a rough area.
Buckeyeman- not sure about the beer specials etc... but the 105th ticket was worth it. We had a great time with all the bands beer and food. Summerfest Grounds are great. Not usre if we are doing the Summerfest grounds thing on the 110th. No bands announced yet. Every dealership in the area has things going on at the dealersips, food music beer, and lots of fun. If ya like camping Hog Haven in West Bend at the County fairgrounds is a blast! Had Lynard Skynard play there one night!

Kid Rock or other big name concerts must not be included. Prolly just get the ticket and will get tickets seperate for the concerts. Can't miss the Kid Rock concert.
I have reservations in Pewaukee, I too am stymied on whether to buy the "ticket", never listened much to kid rock....does everyone think this will be worth it?
We are coming across on the Lake Express on Friday to Sun.,I got the last room at the Wilwood...$$$.
I thought just hanging out, watching people and bikes would be a treat, this will be my first big bike experience. I was thinking I would like to see the Harley Museum, what else should I look to do?
