the whole thing was bullshit.

they don't have the most talented builders in the world, they have the most talented builders under contract with discovery channel.

also, sr and jr are representing the bikes on the stage when neither of them turned a wrench.

IMO if you're gonna stand up on the stage you better have done most of the work on the bike you're standing behind. not just owned the building it was built in.

i don't understand anyone slinging **** gas monkey's way. they're all the same people who bitched last year when jesse built a chopper and got beat by jr's thing. the same people saying "it's a motorcycle competition and jesse built the better motorcycle." the same people saying "the competitors should have to ride to the event." the same people saying "it was better when indian larry was around."

you blind hypocrites...know what falls into all the parameters you just set with all your bitching about the competition? gas monkey's bike does. gas monkey built a motorcycle, complete with all the problems you get when you rebuild an engine instead of uncrating an engine. gas monkey rode halfway across the country to show their bike off. indian larry built choppers when he was doing the show. so why is it now another chopper rolls across stage and it's "eh, anyone could do that."

Then it's safe to say, I'm your opposite. I wouldn't let somebody take my picture standing near that thing. If I won it in a contest, I'd take it apart and use the parts to build something useful (or sell it to somebody who can stand to look at it).

All in all, I just like Jesses style and creativity better than the rest! I think Jr. And Senoirs camps both come out with some creative stuff I just like jesses old school mentality more! As far as Gas Monkeys, I think anyone that is somewhat mechanically inclined with a garage and has the right tools could do the same!

I didn't read the whole thread, but the only opinion I have on the build-off is that Jesse James is a HUGE douche bag. I don't care for his personality/attitude and as a result, don't like his bikes or anything to come from his shop. IMO, talent and creativity mean nothing if you're a self-centered, arrogant, *******.

Technically, none of the bikes built for this contest were a true chopper. You had 2 cafe racers, 1 bobber and Junior's creation, which came the closest. Regardless, I found it all somewhat entertaining.

You can diss all you like, but everyone of these guys have skills. Though Senior and Richard from Grease Monkey can't really take any credit.

They may not be the best as touted by the show, but they're right alongside them.

Jesse definitely comes off as a douche: I just DVR'd Motorcycle Mania 1-3 over the weekend (it was on some channel) and all three were about him and his shop. Jesse seems desperate for acceptance and approval but is so scared of rejection that his whole facade is of a bad *** who doesn't give a **** about anyone's opinions. He goes on and on about how he doesn't care about what anyone thinks about him or his work but he continues to put himself out there. In one of the MM shows he laments that he's a victim of his own fame but instead of disappearing into the back woods of Texas, he is on yet another "reality" show telling us how much he hates being in the limelight and how all he wants is to be left alone so he can keep improving his already amazing skill with metal fabrication.

Jesse needs a makeover. It's okay to be confident, but he's long past cocky. He just hasn't realized it yet.

There was a time when everyone wanted to shake JJ's hand and blow smoke up his ****. Personally, I would rather hang with any of the other builders.

Yeah, the MM shows were back when he was being a dick to his girl... again. Since then, he's been a dick to what, 3 more of them, including Sandra Bullock. It's pretty clear that he has some emotional/psychological issues, but he just never seems to "get it". I mean, how many times does someone have to act like an ******* before they realize just how much of an ******* they are and do something about it? This guy never gets to that point.

When will people realize that reality shows arn't real. They are "shows' and they have to have drama. Biker build off ? Really? Could have fooled me.
