Default Biker Buildoff

Watching it. Love the Gas Monkeys project!
Not sure yet what Jesse has in mind.
Jr is building just another freak show (a 50s inspired Chevy).
Sr a more sportish one, looks like. But it will likely look like a freak show too. And that friggen Jason is unbearable.
Hope the context is among Gas Monkeys and Jesse.

I think Jesse's is going to blow them all away, although he probally won't win.
Could'nt help but notice the bike from Harley Davidson & the Marlboro Man in the background of the Gas Monkey shop.
I really dig the Gas Monkey guys.

OK, Gas Monkeys took a safe path, and went by basically reshaping an old HD.
Really like their bike. The color they picked (white and pink) does not please me too much, but that is how a bike should look like.
Jesse build a more sporty looking bike. I have not had the chance to take a good look at it, as I had to take a call, but IMO it looks too "blinky". Referring to wheels and that three prone thing on the right side of the engine.
Jr and Sr build their usual freak shows.
There seem to be some trend towards more sporty looking bikes. Jesse and Sr both build one, and one of Sr last "creations" for the show was a street bike. All of them with big v-twin engine.
Buell, anyone?

I will have to take a better look at Jesse's bike, but my votes so far are:

1) Gas Monkeys
2) Jesse
...
10003) Sr
10004) Jr

Jr's bike is is another overdone tribute bike on the same frame as every other bike they have built. Sr. and JJ built something new and unique that took engineering as well as artistic talent. The Fast and Loud guys built a very nice bike, byt no better than many I have seen local builders here make. I hate to say it, but JJ and Sr. created something and deserve to do well in this contest.

I dig what the Gas Monkey guys did with Fred. Kept the original paint, split the heads, and made one bada$$ lane splitter bike. Clean and simple. Built the way "choppers" used to be done. I like it a lot and would love to have it.
P.S. "Go Turtles!"---

Paul Sr and his crew, really stepped it up. Loved the CNC frame and other components. Even the LED headlights were pretty trick. Being a CAD guy, I really like this bike too. Almost has a Confederate Choppers look to it.

Jesse James, what can you say, the guy has pure, raw talent. No doubt about it. His and Sr bikes are almost along the same lines, just different. Can't wait to see the final pics and video of it. I really want to see it running down the road. If I won the lottery, no doubt I would still place a call to him to build me a chopper.

Paul Jr Designs, eh. If I was a car guy and had a lot of cars, his bike would be cool to have. BUT, not a practical daily rider and, like his last bike, just doesn't do it for me. Cool as a show piece, but that is about it.

In conclusion, I have to go with Richard Rawlings and Vinnie, that it is total BS JJ didn't have his bike done in time and thus should be disqualified. Obviously, JJ didn't care, because he said so and doesn't care if he wins or not. I also really like the parodies and pranks the Gas Monkey Garage guys did.

So, my pics would be:

1: Gas Monkey Garage and "Fred" the pink chopper
2: OCC CNC milled frame and components bike
3: Jesse James bike, mostly because he built his frame from scratch as well.
4: PJD: Just an artistic show piece. Great in Paul Sr or Jay Leno's garage.

GO TURTLES!

Right, "Fred" ... Fscking Ride Every Day

Me, one of the (many) things which I don't like from Sr bikes, is that they are CAD designed. Heavy CNC, little manual tube and metal hammering and bending.

I noticed also that JJ and Senior's bikes had a Confederate Choppers flavor. JJ's bike looked stunted to me but I don't know anything about sport bikes. Senior seemed to have no actual part in the build, not even in getting the exhaust pipes cut shorter. The Gas Monkey guys did a bike that almost anyone could build given their resources. They took an already cool bike and chopped it. Yeah, that's classic, but this is a build-off and to me they didn't so much build as much as they chopped. Junior's bike is a monstrosity but I like the paint, pin striping exhaust and the leather on the handlebars, it reminds me of the Exile Cycles Hot Rod except with Junior's gaudy ham-handed over design. I was hoping that Junior would change frames for once but he went with the same look he's been using for two years. Overall I was let down with the build-off and allowing Jesse to have more time was disappointing. Jesse's attitude aggravates me and he's constantly going on about how he doesn't care about the votes, yet he keeps getting on these TV competitions. Since this is a one-off competition and not a production bike build I am going to have to with Junior, JJ, Senior, and last Gas Monkey.

Sr. and JJ bikes are not really new or unique. Roland Sands built that same style bike back in 06 during the Biker Build Off series.

The show is complete garbage. Bike build off; really? More like show bike build off or bike beauty contest build off and trailer it to Vegas. Gas Monkey built a rideable bike for this show and they rode it to Vegas. That alone makes them the winner over the rest of the clowns. Lost respect for Jesse on this one. I don't really care that he built a buell, but he is know for building bad *** custom choppers, not that. Senior's bike is what you get when you have a computer geek design your bike. Jr built another theme big, big shocker.
