We all know that we as bikers are individuals and have a wide difference in taste. I was wondering what some of the strangest pets we members have. I have two bearded dragons, one california King Snake and 2 English Mastiffs. Not to mention 3 rug rats aged 9,8 and 6 that keep me extremely busy.
I've got a 2 year old yellow lab (real killer that dog, about as dangerous as a half-melted stick of butter) and a 5 1/2' red-tail boa (had 'er since '97)
I have had literally hundreds of snakes.I used to breed several different types of pythons and boas.I just recently sold my last 2.An emerald tree boa, and a 22 year old ball python.
over the years I have had my share of pets, when I had to put my last one down I said that is it, I dearly do love a dogs, but after I retired and thought about it, I decided not for now..now I don't have to put anything in a kennel or have somebody take it home, or come over and feed it..that part is good cause if we go for a ride and decide to stay in Wisconsin over night we don't have to worry about what to do with the dog..maybe after i really retire and decide that over night trips, or long weekends are a thing of the past I'll probably get me a lap dog.
Personally I prefer a dog but our life style doesn't make a dog compatable for us. We have a neat little Himelayan cat. She is a sweet little pet and independent enough we're not "tied down" like we would be with a dog.

RE: Bikers and Pets
One fluffy brown cocker-poodle mix. Had to put my old girl (a Chow) down this past summer. Used to be seriously into tropical fish (had six tanks at one time, big fan of cichlids...got rid of my last tank, a 70-gal, about four years ago). I travel too much for them anymore. Hard to take fish to the kennel.
