Radar Detector on Electra Glide
Been thinking about installing a radar detector on my Electra Glide. I've looked at several, but haven't found one that makes sense. I'm a big escort fan for my car. Anybody with any experience out there installing one on their bike? I'd also like to be able to swap one on and off my Fat Boy.....

subscribed.. Man ive been thinking about this hard for my bike.. Im also a fan of Escort, the Redline in my case..and just havent found a mounting solution i really like..? Not only mounting solution but when that sucker goes off i want to make sure i can hear it!.. I want to see what others are doing..

I'm in the process of making a mount for one on my FLHTCU. I'm going for a cheap, ebay recycled, Whistler for the reason of maybe dropping it or forgetting it on the bike and it getting swiped. I just want something that will buzz or chirp loud enough to let me know to slow down.

I have a Beltronics GX65 in my Z car that has alerted me quite a few times that KA band radar was somewhere close by. Yesterday though cruising on an interstate it lit up, buzzed loudly and the robotic voice warned laser alert, laser alert. Got a ticket for speeding courtesy of a state trooper with a laser. Also got caught once with instant on radar but that time the cop let me go. There's no guarantee that a detector will keep you safe from getting zapped.
