Yep, Stabil in everything with a motor that gets put away before winter. Try draining the old government mandated ethanol gas crap and fill with some fresh government mandated ethonal gas crap. It might help.

I always use stabilizer in the bike and other motors that sit all winter. One year I forgot to add it to the 5 gallon can of spare gas I keep around. I used it over 6 months later and still smelled fresh and had no running problems.

I don't use it, but there are enough riding days here on the plains in Colorado to fillup 4 or 5 times between November and March so the gas doesn't get very stale.

The problem is you have shortened your battery's life by not keeping it charged up to 100% with a tender. After 4 months it may still have enough left to fire the bike and run but sulfation will have been taking place due to inevitable discharge during non use. If your bike has anything such as a clock or other accessory drawing power the discharge will be faster. I have a tender on a shelf next to where I park my bike in the garage. I plug it in whenever I park the bike.

Yes that's probably true, it might get some sufate build up over the winter. Probably left it too long. I usually go throw the tender on it every month or so, but it had a busted wire this year and I was too lazy to fix it.

The battery is 4 yrs old now, probably near the end of it's service life anyway. We'll see this summer. Next year I"ll take better care of it.

Just throw some octane booster or Heet (dry gas) in fire it up and let it run, then top off with quality brand premium
