I have a nice 3/4 helmet but am thinking of getting a bluetooth full face for longer rides, highways, etc. What are your thoughts on a decent helmet? Any thoughts on the Vega V-Tune.
We have a set of Nolan FFs...meh! So-so at best. I like the helmet, more for the modular than the comunications. I have trouble enough getting wifey to wear a helmet at all so it hard to get her to wear a FF.
Shoei Quest full face is great, the Neotec flip up is also a good helmet, it has a drop down sun shield.
My son has a Harley (HJC) flip up with a drop down sun shield and he loves it.
That's what I wear. Very comfortable and relatively quiet FF helmet with decent ventilation. When it gets too hot I switch to a 3/4 or 1/2 helmet depending on where I'm riding.
My wife went without one in town, just to see what it felt like. I wasn't happy. But when it get hot, I may wear a half or none myself.
FF helmets look really hot to me. But I've seen some where the chin part flips up and if I got one, that's what I'd get. Most major helmet companies make them. I think HJC does, which is what I wear.
I have had several flip ups and now my first full face. It is So much quieter. I have put speakers in all of them. Do not worry about that setup. It is easy.
I've always worn full face when going over 35mph. right now I have Nolan 104n and love it very much. have tasted cement before not something I ever want to do again. Love the bright yellow Nolan 104n. I tried bandanas and it just doesn't offer much protection when you need it most.
