I have to echo most of what has been said. For many years my work has taken me all over the U.S. and Canada. I have stopped in more Harley Dealerships than I could possibly remember and only walked out of one with a bad impression.
Even when I was "only looking" they have all been cordial at the very least and just plain friendly for the most part.

That's been my experience too.
I do have a co-worker that listening to him talk about his purchases for anything under the sun would have me pointing to the
"WE Reserve The Right To Refuse Service" sign and asking him to leave.
Damn I'm surprised @ yall's responses! I'd of thought everyone would have had the same experiences as me. I've spoke w/about 7 or 8 different 'salesmen' & they've all had attitudes.
Since I started riding in the 60`s, I have never been in a Harley shop where the sales people had attitudes, or the parts guys. Maybe I don`t get around enough. Or maybe it is because I don`t go in the shop with an attitude...
Never had a bad experience per se and I've been to Dealers all over this country and Canada. Probably the closest is when my local dealership gets swamped and the service manager gets stressed. He often comes off very grumpy.
I've been to just about every HD dealer here in Michigan and have never had that experience. If fact I've been given a tour of the entire facility at some of the dealers I've visited. I've been given a bunch of free stuff too.

I'm a super laid back dude so I know it's not my attitude making them act that way. Can anyone suggest a good dealer to work w/in N. Texas or southern Oklahoma? I'm in the D/FW area.
I had similar experiences when I was looking at the dealers around DFW. I ended up taking my business out to Paris HD, they won me over on the first phone call and I was very pleased throughout the transaction. It's only 2-1/2 hours out there from the metroplex and worth every minute for the service I received from them.
