Over the past couple years I've been to 5 HD dealers looking @ bikes. Every salesman has had a crappy attitude! They act like I should feel fortunate that their going to allow me to buy 1 of their motorcycles. Like they own the last glass of water in the world. What gives? Why do they all seem so arrogant and act like their **** don't stink?
I've been to just about every HD dealer here in Michigan and have never had that experience. If fact I've been given a tour of the entire facility at some of the dealers I've visited. I've been given a bunch of free stuff too.
must be a texas thing, the guys here are pretty cool. never bought a bike from them, but go in and get some things occasionally and they're always hey, how ya doin with no pressure or attitudes what so ever.
I'm in North Texas and most of the dealerships are pretty good, I've not had a "bad" experience. Now with that said there are some I like better then others, you just have to remember they are there to make money. Somewhere along the way they thought it would be cool to live the dream by working in the bike world...then reality sets in that they have to make money.
I do see some arrogance and "used car salesman" attitude from time to time....
My HD dealer experiences have been positive, except when I realize how much money I just spent. But for the most part, the dealership employees will take the time to answer any and all of my questions. Now my local dealer knows me by name and is very friendly.
Damn I'm surprised @ yall's responses! I'd of thought everyone would have had the same experiences as me. I've spoke w/about 7 or 8 different 'salesmen' & they've all had attitudes. I'm a super laid back dude so I know it's not my attitude making them act that way. Can anyone suggest a good dealer to work w/in N. Texas or southern Oklahoma? I'm in the D/FW area.
