alone , no-one in their right mind would ride behind me , and no-one wants to ride beside or front or back of me ...
I think it is bad social skills , surely not my riding skills .....Ya think ??

+1 on that...group rides are not all they're cracked up to be. Yes maybe you get to follow a police escort and go to cool places. But every single group ride I've been on (a good number), I got sandwiched around some idiots who obviously THOUGHT they knew how to ride, but didn't. They can't grasp the concept of riding staggered, taking corners and allowing the guy behind you to turn too, keeping up with the group instead of gawking, etc. I MUCH prefer riding alone or maybe with one or two friends.

Not a big fan of large packs but they are a necessary evil at times. I prefer to ride with two or three guys that I trust.

Mostly alone, but I do have a couple friends that I like to ride with occasionally. The key is to have a mutual respect and trust for the people you ride with. This is why the local HOG rides are a joke.

I had a few buddies I would ride with back home, but for the most part I rode alone. Now a days I have 1 buddy I ride with, but I still prefer to ride alone. When I'm riding with someone I feel like I'm always looking in my mirrors or watching what they're doing behind or in front of me. If I'm not riding to work I usually have no idea where I'll end up, and I go out of my way to get myself lost in the backwoods.
