Leather jacket issue
My only issue is it's a little stiff, even after having it for 2-3 years, it's never really softened up. It's really made for riding a sportbike.
Now that I've been riding an HD and not a sportbike, I'd like an older worn out look softer leather HD jacket.
Find a jacket that fits better with things like zippered cuffs, longer in the back and a front that overlaps the zipper so it doesn't allow wind to blow through the zipper.
As far as padding, padding is good for going down but I find that since I don't ride sportbikes any longer, the odds of me going down have lowered tremendously.

Good luck finding a jacket, I suggest go to bike places like cyclegear, the HD dealership and stuff but find one that you can physically try on. (going to swap meets, bike meets are pretty decent places for great prices0

Okay, I'll be serious now...Dicks Sporting Goods has this garter available for you. I think it would hold your jacket down and take care of your problem.

No my name comes from my other obsession: climbing. My first published book was to a climbing area called Enchanted Rock here in Texas. I needed a hotmail account and erockguide was the closest thing I could find that wasn't taken. It just sorta stuck.
I did, however, where my gloves today, even though it was 80 degrees, and noticed a considerable difference in the amount of air that made it into my jacket.
I want to ride, but when I have to wear a suit to work, I feel obligated to wear full leathers in an effort to keep them from being wind blown. At the same time, I feel like a complete weirdo in full leathers when it's hot (nice) outside. Maybe I should be looking for non-leather warm weather wear instead......
